Isis Taylor

Rocky Mountain High, Class of 2026 | Front Range Community College

For Isis Taylor, the journey toward post-secondary education is deeply rooted in her desire for stability, support, and a brighter future. Growing up in foster care her entire life without a consistent support system has made her path more challenging than most, but it has also become a driving force behind her determination. Isis has always known she wanted more for herself—something real, lasting, and meaningful. Her dream is simple but powerful: to build a life where she feels safe, supported, and proud of what she has accomplished.

Along the way, Isis has faced significant obstacles. From financial struggles to navigating school with learning and other disabilities, the path has not always been easy. Yet, she has never allowed those challenges to define her future. Instead, each obstacle has shaped her into someone who is resilient, determined, and willing to keep moving forward. Even in a short time, Collegiate Crossings has helped ease some of the stress around the college process and given Isis greater confidence as she prepares for what comes next.

Receiving the Whitney Lee Scholarship is a major milestone for Isis. The scholarship provides practical support, including helping her purchase a much-needed computer for college, but it also represents something even bigger: recognition of her hard work, perseverance, and potential. For Isis and her family, it is a meaningful honor and another step toward the life she is working so hard to build.

Isis plans to earn her pet grooming license before attending Front Range Community College, where she will pursue an associate degree in Business. Her dream is to start her own mobile pet grooming business, combining her love for animals with her desire to create a stable and independent future. In the long term, Isis hopes to open an animal sanctuary and help children with disabilities through animal therapy.

Isis’s story is one of courage, perseverance, and hope. Though her journey has included more challenges than many students face, she continues to move forward with passion and purpose. Looking ahead, Isis is excited to keep learning, growing, and building a future where she can not only succeed for herself but also support and uplift others.
